Prohibition on AI-Generated Submissions

Oceaniacom does not accept submissions, including but not limited to books, comics, children’s books, screenplays, scripts, artworks, or any creative materials, that are generated wholly or partially using artificial intelligence (AI) tools or technologies.

All submissions must be fully human-created. Any involvement of AI generation in the creation of a work: text, images, audio, video, or otherwise, is strictly prohibited.

Commitment to Ethical Use of AI

While Oceaniacom does not accept AI-generated creative submissions, we do use AI tools internally solely for marketing, operational, and administrative purposes. Our use of AI adheres to the following principles:

  • Ethically Sourced AI Only:
    We use only AI platforms and tools that we have verified to be ethically developed, trained, and deployed.

  • No Use of AI Systems Trained Illegally:
    We do not use AI systems that train on copyrighted materials without permission, steal artistic likenesses, or use datasets obtained through illegal or unethical means.

Consequences of Violations

    Any submission determined to contain AI-generated content will be disqualified from consideration.

  • Removal of Published Content:
    Any published work later found to violate this policy may be removed without prior notice.

  • Ban on Future Submissions:
    Individuals or entities that violate the AI-generated content policy may face temporary or permanent bans from submitting future work.

  • Legal and Financial Remedies:
    Oceaniacom may pursue damages or other remedies if the violation results in reputational or financial harm.

No Sale or Transfer of User Information to AI Companies

Oceaniacom Pty Ltd does not sell, license, assign, distribute, or otherwise transfer any user information, content, or proprietary materials to artificial intelligence companies or machine-learning entities.

For the purposes of this Agreement, “user information and content” includes, without limitation:

  • personal data, account information, and contact details;

  • creative works, manuscripts, artwork, illustrations, designs, writings, concepts, and ideas;

  • likenesses, photos, audio, video, or any form of user-generated content;

  • metadata or behavioral data associated with the use of our website or services.

Oceaniacom Pty Ltd further does not authorize or permit:

  • the use of any user information or content for training, developing, or refining AI or machine-learning models;

  • the inclusion of any user materials in datasets used for automation, synthetic content generation, or algorithmic analysis;

  • scraping, harvesting, or automated extraction of data by AI-related third parties.

We maintain technical, contractual, and procedural safeguards designed to ensure that no information collected through our website or services is repurposed for AI training or provided to entities engaged in such activities.

Nothing in these Terms shall be interpreted as granting AI companies, or any third parties acting on their behalf, any right to access, collect, utilize, or reproduce user content or information for machine-learning purposes.

Users retain all rights to their intellectual property as otherwise described in these Terms.

Human Review Assurance: No Automated or AI-Based Decision Making

Oceaniacom Pty Ltd ensures that all reviews, evaluations, decisions, and actions involving users, submissions, contracts, or business operations are conducted exclusively by human staff. We do not employ artificial intelligence or automated decision-making systems for any processes that could impact users, creators, partners, or the company.

This includes, but is not limited to:

a. Administrative and Operational Reviews

All administrative tasks — such as account reviews, submissions processing, correspondence handling, support inquiries, quality checks, and internal documentation — are evaluated and addressed by human personnel.

b. Creative, Editorial, and Production Decisions

All manuscripts, artwork, illustrations, pitches, proposals, creative submissions, production requests, and editorial decisions are reviewed and approved by qualified human editors, designers, or staff.
AI systems are not used to approve, reject, edit, critique, or evaluate creative works.

f. Safety, Compliance, and Risk Assessments

g. Significant or Material Effects on Users

We do not use AI systems to make decisions that produce legal, financial, professional, or otherwise significant effects on users.
All such determinations involve direct human involvement and oversight.

At no point do we allow AI or automated systems to make binding decisions, evaluations, or determinations affecting our users, partners, authors, or business operations. All consequential actions are made by humans.

Programs
