COMING SOON TO PAPERBACK AND EBOOK!
These stories, these experiences from an early life in Australia for a 15 year-old boy, who emigrated on his own from Yorkshire, UK to Australia in the early 1960’s are all about feelings. Not just two feelings, good and bad — feelings such as; rage, disgust, love, hate, pride, enthusiasm, jealousy, compassion, and more.
Does it really matter what the feelings are? To be able to feel… something, anything? One can live without their eyesight. Difficult, but not impossible. Hearing? The same. Sense of smell and taste? Life will go on. Loss of a limb? Inconvenient, but one still lives.
Without the ability to feel one is surely not alive. What he has to go through to survive. What he learns about himself and his inner strength are told with brutal honesty. In the current atmosphere surrounding young people and self-harm at an astounding rate, where are the living heroes who have suffered bullying, beating, emotional abuse, etc. and risen out of their pain and fought back? Yorky’s message to everyone and anyone is, “If I can do it, you can!”
