It explores identity, alienation, neurodivergence, environmental collapse, and the burden of unwanted power.
ODYSSEA is the debut graphic novel by Berlin based writer and creator Amy Fleming and illustrator Amy Brutton. Passionate about genre-defying narratives that use hope, humor, and the supernatural to explore themes of trauma and transformation. ODYSSEA is the result of a combination of countless sketches, conversations, and creative sparks, all flowing together into a story that feels as strange as it is familiar.

Amy imagined the world and story, developed the concept, wrote the text and scenes, and shaped the narrative through detailed storyboards that defined the rhythm and emotional arc of the book. With a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, and professional experience as a writer in the video game industry and as a brand developer for startups in the UK, the US, and Germany, storytelling has always been at the centre of her work.
