Testimonials

I joined Oceaniacom Press when they decided to take my YA novel ‘Seth’ and republish it with some edits and a new cover. As with most authors, we get quite anxious about how we will collaborate with our new publishers. My experience before this had largely been one in which there was a fairly rigid formality in the connection and communication. I was absolutely delighted to find that this was not the case with Oceaniacom Press. I had expected short, extremely focused talks with the owner/publisher, but what I found were long and personal conversations with Guy that not only addressed the publication concerns but also showed a very real interest in me and my life. This warm and personal approach has continued through all our subsequent interactions as we navigate the journeys of publication together. When a new cover was needed, I had a very pleasing and productive working relationship with Alethea Van Holland – The USA based-Head of Operations. We set up the starting point, which was my central theme/image of the book, and then worked together from there. Throughout the entire process, I was consulted and kept abreast of the developments. This level of involvement and consideration was incredibly satisfactory and ultimately led to a marvellous cover design. Elsewhere in the firm, I have only met the same warmth, honesty, and professional skills. I never have to worry about not being involved because Oceaniacom Press takes the time to ring me and stay in touch. It is my sincere hope that I can continue to publish and work with this exciting and people-friendly company. .

Robert Lewers

Author of "Seth"

As a new author, I was inundated with advice on how to get my science fiction/fantasy novel, No Good Deed Goes Unpunished, published. Lucky for me, I was pointed in Oceaniacom’s direction. Guy Perrine and Alethea Van Holland took wonderful care of me during the pre-publishing process. Everything from line editing to proofreading. Also, Alethea created the most amazing cover art and perfectly formatted everything. I can’t thank everyone at Oceaniacom enough for their hard work in getting my novel published. I will always remember holding that book in my hands, thinking what a blessing to see my writing published. I look forward to continuing my partnership with Guy and Oceaniacom on my second novel in the ‘Worlds of Shadows and Light’ series.

“Alternative school teacher. Biodynamic sheep farmer. Therapist. And…through it all compulsive reader and writer originally motivated by childhood polio.
Great wish to write that has been aided by association with Oceaniacom Press.
Many more books to come…”

“A premiere packed with actors, directors, and enough schmoozing to power a small city.
That night… destiny called.
Fast-forward to the Gold Coast Film Festival.
Armed with nothing but a script, a dream, and a questionable coffee habit…
He took second place—and it lit a fire.
He writes rapidly, launching imaginative stories skyward, chasing stars with creativity and a hint of popcorn in the air.
This time… he’s not just part of the story. He’s writing it.”

“I am a fan of Weird Literature, the odd and fantastic writing style that existed from the mid-Victorian era until about the 1940s when it was streamlined into Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. Nowadays, I generally write Horror, usually teamed up with a hefty dose of Historical Fiction. I especially like the Occult Detective format of writing.

Some time ago, I discovered that a distant uncle of mine was murdered in Sydney over a bottle of beer, a case unsolved to this day. This piqued my interest in the true crime aspects of Australia’s history, especially Sydney during the 1920s and 30s, the so-called “razor gang” days. My Shadows of Razorhurst stories all come from there.”
